This is my favorite bath stuff ever!
The best part is that it is all natural and it's super cheap to make.
It also makes a wonderful gift(Mothers Day, Teachers, Party Favors)
I got this jar at Walmart for about 3 dollars.
It has a great mouth size for scooping out the scrub,
and it's the perfect size...not too big and not too small.
Here is what you will need to make this skin-tastic sugar scrub:
1 Part Brown Sugar and 1 Part White Sugar.
(I used 1 1/2 cups of each here)
1 Part of your choice of oil.
Use more or less depending on how oily you want it to be.
I use Grapeseed Oil because it doesn't have a strong smell.
I add Vitamin E because it acts as a natural preservative and,
well, it's GOOD for your skin:)
I used 7 soft gels...poke a hole in one end and squeeze it out.
Blend the brown sugar with the white sugar.
Mix in the oil and add the Vitamin E oil.
You can add Essential Oils if you want, but I like the sweet sugar smell:)
YUM!
Fill up your jar and then scrub your skin super smooth or give it as a gift.
WARNING: Your tub will be slippery so please be careful!
Also, maybe wash your tub before you give your toddler a bath the next day.
Just sayin'.
Enjoy your super silky skin!

Love this. At first, I thought you had recycled a candle jar. I usually save my old ones but then end up getting rid of them because I can't figure out what to do with them. Now I do. LOL

Wonderful! This is the first recipe I've seen with brown sugar and I'll definitely try it. It's great for us embroiderers who often have dry hangnails in the winter from heated homes and in the summer from too much gardening and scrubbing the dirt of our hands.
ReplyDeletethanks for sharing!
