{Day 13} Medicine Cabinet

Okay, so I am way behind on the challenge and am catching up during nap times;) I am also doing them out of order, which if you know me at all, drives me crazy!!! *Deep breath*

Here is my 3 part medicine cabinet before:

#1

#2

#3
I took everything out, tossed what needed to go and separated the rest into categories: body, face, hair. Then I wiped off the shelves and put everything back.

#1
Hair products and perfume.

#2
Face stuff and deodorant.
The glass jars that hold my makeup brushes are upcycled candle jars.

#3
Husbands stuff.

I was so happy to get this done!
It felt so good that I did the bathroom drawers,
as well as the storage closet in the bathroom.

Day 2 of the 21 Day Organizing Challenge

Challenge #2-Your computer desk top
I don’t have a computer desk, so I decided to do my scrapbooking desk instead. It needed a little attention since my love of sewing has taken over my free time;)

This is my favorite photo that I have taken…ever.

This is what is inside that little blue bag. They are paper weights that my hubby got me from Red Envelope. “You rock” is my favorite:)
I reused storage containers that I already had, and here is the final result! YAY!

It makes me want to scrapbook:)

A clear literature holder keeps my newest scrap magazine in sight and in mind, post it tabs for marking favorites, sketch binder, and note cards.

These jars are by Making Memories. I love to be able to see all the little pretties.

These hold more embellishments and are actually votive holders that I purchased at Walmart.

See the pink glitter? Oh, I have plans for her!
So now all I want to do is sit at that desk.
Maybe I will be able to start scrapping again soon.

SOAP

This laundry soap is amazing!

I have tried several different kinds of detergents for washing my cloth diapers and they were always left with residual "smells"(If you use cloth diapers, you know what I am talking about).

After one wash with this stuff, the smell was gone! I sound so lame, but it's true. This soap has changed my cloth-diaper-life. It is Nellie's all natural laundry soda and you can get it here on their website(which is a really fun site), but I get it from Cottonbabies because there is NO shipping! Yay!

I got it to use on my diapers and now I use it on all of our laundry...our clothes just feel cleaner now.

Here is the back of the package: Isn't it so much fun?

And here is a closer view of the comic:

Even though I love the packaging, I do not like to unzip and zip the, uh, zipper on the bag each time I do a load of laundry.

To fix that, I took a glass cracker jar that I got at Target(favorite store!) and covered the sides with scrapbook paper and epoxy letters to spell out "SOAP". I added a paper flower to the top and some ribbons around the neck of the jar to pretty it up.

I love it, don't you? It just makes me smile:)
Anything to make doing laundry a little more pleasant, right?
