Haircuts and Cast Removal

Today was a busy day.

Me and the kids went on a nice long walk, then came home and played and ate lunch.
When I put Travis down for his nap Brooklyn and I went to get haircuts.

BEFORE: Look how long it is!

AFTER: Adorable layered bob.

We have an after haircut tradition of going to Coldstone for ice cream but I didn't get any pics of that because we ran into some friends and I didn't want to look like a bloggy freak.

Brooklyn and I with our much shorter hair.

After our haircuts I dropped Brooklyn off
and picked up Travis to take to his Dr appointment.

Travis and I in the waiting room at the Dr's office...
waiting to see if he gets his cast off or gets a new one.

One last shot of him in the cast.

They sawed off the cast and he was so happy to have 2 legs again:)

They did more x-rays and the Dr said that he was 80% healed and that he didn't want to put another cast on him. He told me to keep him from running, jumping and climbing for at least the next three weeks.

Yeah, right! Is he freaking serious?!?! Has he met my son?
I am going to be a nervous wreck making sure he doesn't hurt himself again.

I took him home and put his stinky hadn't-had-a-real-bath-in-three-weeks self in the bathtub straight away!
Our kittens are currently living in the bathroom so it was a real party.

Me and my cast-less, bathed little boy:)

This is my life and I love it!

Mothers Day

My Mothers Day was wonderful.

I spent the morning at home with my kids and then we met my in-laws for a delicious brunch.

Me and my kids, Brooklyn and Travis.
I am so blessed to be the mother of such a sweet 8 year old girl
and an adventurous 19 month old son.

I love these two kids more than I ever could have imagined.

Me and my LOVE!

Free Mothers Day coffee!
Free coffee always tastes better...just sayin'.
Thanks Dutch Bros;)

This is what my hubby gave me:)
A picnic basket filled with some of my favorite treats and 2 dozen roses.

**Sigh**
I felt so loved!

My daughter made me a gift at school that I will share later...it is so cute!

I hope you all had a wonderful Mothers Day!!!

Easter 2011

We had a wonderful Easter with my family.
I didn't take nearly enough photos because I was having so much fun.
Me and my hubby Jon.

The boy and the girl...Travis(18 months) and Brooklyn(8 years).

Jon and Brooklyn...I love their relationship:)

Me with my baby girl...she's growing up way too fast!

Hubby was getting creative here:)

My son and I...
He would not let me hold him for the picture and instead wanted to sit next to me.

Independent little boy.

This boy makes me heart melt.

He was teething, had a fever and kept falling on his head.
Rough day!

Poor baby!

He wasn't sure about the eggs, but then he found out what was inside;)

I hope your Easter was amazing!
PEACE!

Sweet baby B

This is my daughter Brooklyn.
She has such a strong sense of morality and empathy.
She loves school and soccer and adores her little brother.
I am so blessed by her.

I woke up this morning to find this on my bathroom counter:
She made me a necklace and a bracelet!

Isn't that note so sweet? And maybe a little strange? But mostly sweet:)

Thank you sweet Baby B!

She has been hugging me all morning and telling me what a great mom I am. **Melt** She said that I am the best mom ever because I give her surprises and make her skirts and let her stay up late with me the other night. I am thinking that her love languages are gifts, quality time and touch(She loves to snuggle).

This is my life and I love it.

Our costumes

Hi! I am Velma!

This is baby Scooby and Shaggy

Travis was not sure what to think of his mommy in a wig:)

My adorable baby Scooby!

My sassy Daphne:)

She threw that football right through the tire and seriously shocked those boys!
That's my girl!!!

We did not get a family picture of all of us in our costumes...Boooo!

We were like celebrities wherever we went:)
I heard more than one parent explaining to their children that I was not actually
the REAL Velma, but was just a mommy in a costume!!!
I laughed so hard!

Next year I plan to make our costumes, but these ones are going to be hard to beat!

1.2.10

This is our first family picture of the new year.

We need to work on getting Travis to look at the camera...it freaks him out a little.

I love my kids...and my new hat.

I realized this evening that Travis is three months old today! Um, where did the time go?!? Here's a picture of him in his new Bumbo.

I decided to bite the bullet and buy it new after searching every second hand baby store in town as well as craigslist with no luck. One second hand baby store had a used blue Bumbo with a tray, but it was priced at $44.00! Brand new at Target I got the chair for $35.00, and the tray for $10.00. I think it was worth it though because the boy LOVES it. I love to say the name...BUMBO! Try it, it's fun:) He's not very strong in the sitting position yet, so we will have to ease him into it a few minutes at a time while he gets stronger.
The most important thing she’d learned over the years was that there was no way to be a perfect mother and a million ways to be a good one."
